Spectral sequences is a powerful tool used in homological algebra and algebraic topology.
When one whants to compute some invariant of an object constructed from other objects for
which this invariant is known, one has to get some relation between these invariants.
In many cases such a relation can be expressed in terms of an exact sequence, but sometimes
the situation is more complicated and spectral sequences arrise. From this point of view,
spectral sequences are a generalization of exact sequences. The course is aimed to introduce
the notion of a spectral sequence, to study different well known spectral sequnces and to
demonstrate some applications of them.
